Location
tonic is set in Lovedale in the NSW Hunter Valley - an easy drive from Sydney (just one and a half hours drive from the F3 turnoff at Wahroonga). Lovedale is the sister area to Pokolbin and is in itself a great destinatio. Wineries and stylish restaurants offering modern Australian cuisine abound. Golfing, ballooning, walking, wine tasting.
We selected a spot close to Sydney (having moved from there seeking a country life) with great vineyard views. We built a modern Australian design, based on the style of an outback shed, with corrugated iron, steel, glass and aged timber. We added every luxury from designer furniture to heated floors. We filled the fridges with good food and combined it with non invasive service.
Accommodation
tonic is small and private - Our rooms offer king size beds and en suites offering huge showers, deep baths and double sinks and one 2 bedroom apartment has all of the above + full kitchen, lounge and dining area with fireplace. A huge balcony looks over the stunning vineyard vista. Your own little world
Our style is modern, a definite no chintz zone. Polished concrete floors teamed with cowhides and soft fluffy rugs. The colour schemes are fun and the furniture simple, elegant and contemporary. Every room is styled differently allowing us to have great fun with the décor. We added a novel twist (Nicis other dream was to open a décor shop - loving the mix of antique and very modern) all the items in the rooms are for sale. Your room is a shop- its mini bar gone crazy.
Catering Information
Food is important to us. We are happy to talk to you about your choices and menu plan accordingly. tonic tables can be set to your plan with a formal look or a more colourful casual feel. Decorations are all possible
Breakfast can be a do it yourself thing. No having to dress and go to a dining room between the allotted hours. Your fridge contains all you need for a 3 course breakfast with real coffee and specialty teas.
Cocktails ...A casual affair... A formal dinner ...anything is possible

Recreational Facilities
tonic massage service is in room. We offer a range of services, from massage to manicure and pedicure. A blissful way to recharge the body and soul.
Games can be played on the lawns, picnics by the dam.. Sporting challenges ..
In the past groups have ordered pizza to be delivered and sat around the fire with beers and monopoly, others have had a group activity to cook for the team - the lounge has a BBQ and full kitchen and others have ordered in a chef and donned the formal gear
