The Spencer on Byron Hotel is conveniently located only 8 kilometres (5 miles) from Auckland’s central business district in the seaside suburb of Takapuna Beach on Auckland’s North Shore. The hotel is just 40 minutes drive from Auckland International Airport, and only minutes walk from Takapuna’s shops, cafes, restaurants and beaches.

Accommodation

249 well appointed and spacious guest rooms, ranging from studio rooms to one and two bedroom apartments. All rooms feature en suite bathroom, satellite TV, IDD phone, broadband data ports, tea/coffee facilities, mini bar, iron/ironing board and air conditioning. The hotel also features 17 mobility-impaired rooms. The views of Auckland landmarks are simply stunning and a focal point of every room in the hotel including dramatic city, harbour, Rangitoto Island and the Hauraki Gulf scenes.

The Spencer on Byron Hotel catering department has a selection of menu options for you to choose from, or we can tailor make a menu to suit your individual requirements. We also have our own restaurant and bars - The Dining Room features contemporary modern cuisine with a hint of Asian influence and an emphasis on the best quality produce, served in a relaxed, yet sophisticated atmosphere. Open from 6.30am till late every day. The Bowl & Racquet Bar on the first floor is available for informal cocktails and drinks from 6.30am till late every day. The Library Bar provides a great place to rendezvous with friends or just relax with a book from the library. Open Mon-Fri from 7am to midday for coffee and tea.
